ONLINE TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Please be advised that the prices displayed on the Website are subject to change without notice and products are made-to-order, and hold a delivery time of 10 - 12 weeks. All photographs of products are provided as a guide only. The colour of products and finishes may appear differently to the actual colour, due to the resolution of individual monitors, computers, devices, or lighting variations. Please contact us if you wish to enquire as to the availability and appearance of any fabrics or finishes.

YOUR ORDER

  • Full payment is required before confirmation of made-to-order items.

  • Many of our items are handmade so there can be slight variations - no two pieces are ever the same.

  • Due to the customizable nature of many of our furniture pieces - final combinations on colors and fabrics will be confirmed via email correspondence after your order has been placed.

  • All made-to-order line furniture is final sale once the order has been placed into production. There will be a 24hr grace period from the time your order is placed until an order is put through to production, should you wish to cancel. Please choose carefully when you place a custom Order, in the event of a cancellation after the 24 hour grace period, You will be liable for the full price of the custom item.

  • Once confirmation is received via email by you of your chosen fabric and finishes as well as the item fitting on delivery, We accept no liability of whatsoever nature for incorrect measurements or incorrect descriptions of materials and textiles.

  • All Our drawings, dimensions, samples, descriptive matter and online or in-store specifications are intended as a guide only. Our brands reserve the right to change, alter, or modify the design, dimensions, construction, and costing of any item displayed in-store or online without prior notice. We will endeavour to update our website timeously, if before you order you would like to confirm aspects of the product, please email megan@philosophyfurniture.com.

    DELIVERY

  • All lead times are approximate and are subject to change. We endeavor to ship our orders out as soon as they are received from South Africa

  • While we endeavour to effect delivery on the dates and times provided to You, delays do not constitute a breach of the Agreement and We shall not be liable for any resulting damages.

  • Unfortunately at this time Philosophy is unable to offer unusual or difficult access deliveries such as removal of doors, hoisting furniture, or carrying goods upstairs. Should this be required, please ensure you make the necessary arrangements.

  • It is incumbent upon You to ensure that the furniture pieces will fit in your home, as well as through doorways, staircases, corridors, and around corners within your home. If you are unsure, please email megan@philosophyfurniture.com for assistance in how to measure for these spaces as well as the pack sizes of the item you are interested in purchasing.

  • You shall ensure that all existing furniture, valuables and fragile or breakable items are removed from the route or room prior to delivery of the goods.

  • Our contractors shall not move, reposition or rearrange existing furniture.

  • Shipments are made via third-party companies. Philosophy Furniture & Design Ltd will not be held responsible for any damages after the product has left our showroom/warehouse. Any transit damage discovered after the fact and not noted in writing on the bill of landing will preclude a damage claim with the appropriate company. It is the responsibility of the receiver to inspect all items before signing off on the bill of landing or allowing the driver to leave. If your order arrives in such a condition, please contact us and let us know, immediately, and we will endeavour to assist to ensure you are happy with your purchase.

  • Electrical work is not provided, the installation team is not qualified to disconnect or reconnect any electrical equipment.

  • We offer storage facilities of the goods up to and until the delivery date. If you are unable to accept delivery of the goods on the delivery date a storage fee will be payable.

  • Mezzanine shall not be held liable for any damage, injury or loss howsoever arising from the actions or omissions of its employees or contractors.

    RETURNS & EXCHANGES

  • Please choose carefully as all sales are final.

  • Our goods are crafted to order and we do not give refunds on custom-made items under any circumstances.

  • We do not offer refunds for change of mind.

  • In the event that the goods are grossly defective, We shall repair or replace the goods or accept the return of the goods in exchange for credit in terms of the Consumer Protection Act. Goods to be inspected by a representative of Philosophy Furniture & Design Ltd, to determine whether they are grossly defective.

  • We will only accept products in their original condition with tags attached, accompanied with the receipt and in suitable packaging.

  • Goods will be inspected upon return and exchanges or credit will be issued for the original value of the product only — excluding any delivery costs.

    GENERAL

  • These Terms and Conditions of Sale together with the quotation constitute the whole agreement between the parties as to the subject matter contained in the Terms and Conditions of Sale and, no agreements, representations or warranties between the parties regarding the subject matter hereof other than those set out herein are binding on the parties.

  • No addition to or variation of or any waiver of any right arising from these Terms and Conditions of Sale shall be of any force or effect unless reduced to writing and signed by the parties or their duly authorised representatives.

  • You agree that no indulgence whatsoever by Us will affect the terms of these Terms and Conditions of Sale or any of Our rights and such indulgence shall not constitute a waiver by Us in respect of any of Our rights herein.

TRADE SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Trade program is available to accredited members of the trade (interior decorators/designers, architects, general contractor, and landscape architects) - applications will be approved within two days

  • On application approval; trade discounts will be applied.

  • The Trade program will require a copy of your business card and resale certificate.
