Delivery 

What happens after I place my order online? 

Once you have successfully placed your order with Philosophy, you will receive an email confirmation with your order details to the email provided. If you do not receive this within 24 hours, please contact us via our contact page and we will have a look into this for you.

All our furniture is made bespoke to order.  It’s more environmentally friendly and guarantees pieces that are unique to our customers. All orders are placed with our designers in South Africa within 24 hours of you placing your order with Philosophy.  Furniture of this quality takes time, which is why we estimate a 10 - 14 week delivery period. The delivery time will be stated on the product page and the order email. As soon as your order reaches the UK, you will receive another email confirming delivery is on track.

Philosophy works with a specialist courier who will be in touch via call or text message in regards to the delivery date.


What happens if I want to cancel my order? 

All our furniture is made bespoke to order.  It’s more environmentally friendly and guarantees pieces that are unique to our customers.  For this reason, our furniture is final sale once the order has been placed into production. There will be a 24hr grace period from the time your order is placed until an order is put through to production in South Africa, should you wish to cancel.

However, due to the customized nature of our products, any changes or cancellations after this time frame may incur extra charges up to the full price of the order.
We are unable to offer returns for unwanted made-to-order products as these are bespoke. If your item is damaged or received with faults, please contact us via our contact form and we will assist you from there.
Neither of the above affects your statutory legal rights.

How do I track the status of my order?

Being a small, owner-run business, please email us directly at megan@philosophyfurniture.com and we will personally assist you. All orders hold an 8 week manufacturing time and an up to 4 week shipping time. We will reach out to you at crucial times in the process to update you on your order process.

Can my order be delivered earlier?

All our furniture is made bespoke to order. It’s more environmentally friendly and guarantees pieces that are unique to our customers. Furniture of this quality takes time, which is why we estimate a 10-14 week delivery period. The delivery time will be stated on the product page and the order email.

For this reason, we'll be unable to speed up the delivery process but do please give us a call to discuss requirements. For larger trade customers we have more flexibility over delivery windows.

Can I change my delivery address?

Yes, we will get in touch before your order departs South Africa to confirm all the delivery details.

Do you offer an installation and assembly service? 

All our deliveries are a white-glove service, which will include the delivery team placing the item in your designated room.

Where is my order?

I’ve received my order but there are pieces missing, what do I do? 

We apologise profusely if items from your order are missing.  Please let us know immediately via our customer contact page.

I would like to make a return, how do I do this?

Sales & Trade 

Does Philosophy offer a trade discount? 

Our trade program is available to accredited members of the trade industry (interior decorators/designers, architects, general contractors, and landscape architects). Please email megan@philosophyfurniture.com for an application. Applications will be approved within two working days.
